Terms & Conditions

By booking a service with Loyal Pawrenting, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure the safety, success, and wellbeing of your dog and family, as well as to honor the time and effort of everyone involved.

1. Teamwork & Humane Methods

At Loyal Pawrenting, training is a relationship-centered, team-based effort. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You will be asked to work as a team with your dog, not against them.
  • We will always go at the dog's pace, respecting their comfort level and emotional state.
  • Training methods will be force-free and fear-free, and no tools or techniques that your dog finds aversive (such as prong collars, shock collars, intimidation, or physical corrections) will be used or allowed during our work together.

2. Family Participation

Successful training requires cooperation from the entire household. By enrolling in services with Loyal Pawrenting, you agree that:

  • All family members who interact with the dog regularly should participate in the training process.
  • If children under 10 years old will be present, an additional responsible adult must be available to supervise them so the dog handler can fully focus.
  • Everyone in the home is expected to follow the agreed-upon strategies to support consistency and long-term success.

3. Homework & Consistency

Progress depends on your commitment to practicing the skills outside of our sessions. You understand that:

  • Homework will be assigned after each appointment, and your follow-through is key to achieving lasting results.
  • The trainer cannot guarantee progress unless exercises and strategies are implemented consistently between sessions.

4. Health & Safety Requirements

For the safety of all involved, you agree that:

  • Your dog must have current vaccinations (rabies, DHPP, and bordetella) and you will provide proof upon request.
  • You will disclose any behavioral issues, bite history, medical conditions, or medications that may affect training.
  • Sick dogs will not be accepted for training sessions and must be rescheduled at no penalty.
  • Loyal Pawrenting reserves the right to end sessions immediately if safety becomes a concern for any person or animal present.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods include electronic payments.
  • Packages must be used within 6 months of purchase or will be forfeited without refund.
  • Travel fees may apply for addresses that are more than 20 minutes away from 712 Lawton Bridge Rd SW, Smyrna, GA 30082. Travel fees are calculated based on additional round-trip driving time beyond the 20-minute radius included in session costs, as driving time is time unavailable for other client bookings. Travel fees will be discussed and agreed upon prior to scheduling.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Your time is valuable—and so is ours. Please let us know as early as possible if you need to make changes to your appointment.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the loss of your deposit.
  • Late arrivals: We will wait up to 15 minutes past the scheduled time. Sessions starting more than 15 minutes late may be shortened or rescheduled at full cost.
  • Weather/Emergency cancellations by Loyal Pawrenting will be rescheduled at no charge.
  • To avoid penalties, please give advance notice if you need to reschedule. We'll do our best to accommodate you.

7. Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be given for completed sessions or unused portions of packages after 30 days from purchase.
  • If you are unsatisfied with services, please contact us within 48 hours of your session to discuss options.
  • Refunds, when granted, will be prorated based on sessions completed and subject to a 10% administrative fee.

8. Service Scope & Training Results

  • Services include only those specifically outlined in your service agreement.
  • No guarantees are made regarding specific training outcomes, as results depend heavily on client consistency and follow-through.
  • Loyal Pawrenting reserves the right to discontinue services if the client is not following agreed-upon training protocols or if the dog's behavior poses a safety risk.
  • Additional sessions may be recommended based on individual progress and needs.

9. Liability & Insurance

  • You acknowledge that dog training involves inherent risks including but not limited to bites, scratches, property damage, and personal injury.
  • You assume all responsibility for your dog's actions before, during, and after training sessions.
  • You agree to maintain current homeowner's or renter's insurance and understand that Loyal Pawrenting's insurance does not cover incidents involving your dog.
  • Loyal Pawrenting's liability is limited to the amount paid for services and excludes indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Loyal Pawrenting from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your dog's actions or your participation in training services.

10. Photography & Media Consent

  • You consent to photography and video recording during sessions for training documentation purposes.
  • You grant permission for Loyal Pawrenting to use images/videos of you and your dog for promotional purposes unless you opt out in writing. The intake questionnaire will have options to opt out of this.

11. Confidentiality

  • All information shared during training sessions will be kept confidential except as required by law or for safety purposes.
  • Case studies may be shared for educational purposes with identifying information removed.

12. Modification of Services

  • If your dog exhibits aggressive behavior or training is not progressing, Loyal Pawrenting may recommend alternative resources or discontinue services.
  • Referrals to veterinary behaviorists or other specialists may be suggested when appropriate.

13. General Terms

  • These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Loyal Pawrenting.
  • Terms may be modified with 30 days written notice.
  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of these terms will remain in effect.
  • These terms are governed by Georgia law and any disputes will be resolved in Cobb County courts.
  • Mediation will be attempted before any legal action is pursued.
